Use and Care of Hearing Aids

It is important that you care for your hearing aids. Some valuable tips for caring for your hearing aids:

Cleaning: Carefully use the small brush provided with your hearing aid every day to remove earwax or other particles that may have accumulated on the hearing aid. Never use solvents, cleaning fluids, oil, or water to clean your hearing aid.

Battery life: When not in use, open your hearing aid battery compartment doors so the batteries are not in contact with any internal components. This will prolong battery life.

Water: Make sure you keep your hearing aids dry. Don’t shower, swim, or use hairspray with them inserted in the ear.

Storage: Keep hearing aids in a clean, dry place – dry aid kit provided. Be sure to open battery doors when not in use to preserve battery life.
